2013 Realm The Bard

Deep and dark ruby red and purplish hues. Thick and dark nose, a bit of bark with tons of dark berries, cinnamon, even a bit of herbs and baking spices. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Can feel a touch of heat, with layers of cinnamon, vanilla, spiced herbs and black berries. Absolutely delicious. Extracted and voluptuous. Excellent work. This will only get better over time, will wait another 5 years at least for the last bottle.
Cabernet-based Bordeaux blend with around 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Petit Verdot. Fruit for this bottling comes from the B Weitz, Houyi, Blair and Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyards. Majority of the fruit is from the Blair Vineyard in Calistoga. Only 950 cases produced.
