2011 Lamborn Family Vineyards Vintage IX Cabernet Sauvignon

First of the Lamborn Family Vineyard wines at the Great Falls Wine Outlet this Friday. Medium to deep ruby red. Soft nose with tons of dark cocoa, blueberries, sweet spices, herbal and some pepper. Heavy tannins (7/10) and medium plus bodied. Needs a solid decant, an hour or two, to show off a bit more of its stuffing. A bit herbal on the palate with spices and lots of cherries. Quite a bit of acidity with a long finish.
Made up of 100% estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain. Generally aged in around 30% to 35% new French oak. Only 495 cases produced.
