2013 Sinegal Estate Cabernet Franc

Estate: Sinegal Estate

Region: St. Helena, Napa Valley, California, United States of America

Tasting Note:November 05, 2016

Super dark deep ruby red. Dark chocolate like crazy all over the nose and palate. Tobacco and cigar box on the nose with some dark berries. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full body. Extracted and plush. Long dry finish with dark berries (blue and black), dried flowers and baking spices. A mix of nutmeg, cinnamon and some cloves. An absolutely killer Cabernet Franc, one of our top two Napa Francs this year.

Probably the rarest wine from this Estate. Both Cabernet Sauvignons and the Sauvignon Blanc can be purchased at the estate, but this Cabernet Franc can only be purchased via the 'Estate List' or mailing list. This masterpiece is made up of 80% Cabernet Franc and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged in 100% new French oak. Ryan Knoth is the winemaker and has worked under expert winemakers such as Michel Rolland and Phillipe Melka. Additionally, Tony Biagi is the consulting winemaker. If you have not tried any of their wines already we highly recommend them.
