2013 La Pitchoune Pinot Noir Van der Kamp Vineyard

Medium plus garnet red. Love the complexity and layers on this Sonoma Mountain Pinot; smoked wood chips, burnt grass, dark red cherries, bramble berries, cranberries and a touch of purple flowers. Moderate acidity (7/10) and tannins (6/10). Full bodied with a savory start on the palate with tons of thick red berries, a touch of dark cocoa and even a bit of minerality near the finish. Long and lingering finish.
Generally aged in 25% new french oak for 11 months. Only 120 cases produced.
