Tasting Note:May 30, 2018

Barrel tasting with Scott Kirkpatrick.Medium purplish ruby red. Elegant nose with some earthiness, purple flowers, twigs, red bramble berries and cinnamon. Medium tannins (7/10) and medium bodied. A bit unripe on the palate with some cherry cola. small crushed gravel and green berries. Dry and medium plus to long finish.

First winery on our fourth day in Napa Valley is Mountain Tides Wines and Eleven Eleven Wines located in Oak Knoll. First up was a barrel tasting of their 2017 Petite Sirah Clement Hills. Made by Scott Kirkpatrick. Only three barrels produced and all in neutral oak.
