NV Castello del Poggio Sweet Rosé

Light peachy pink with a touch of bubbles to start. Lush nose with roses, cantaloupes, tropical fruits and pomegranate. Light acidity (4/10) and light bodied. Not as sweet as the moscato but with a soda like texture. Notes of fresh red berries, a bit tropical and stoney too. Light plus to medium finish with a bit of fizz.
This Sweet Rosé is a part of Castello del Poggio's Hello Sweet Life range which brings the Italian lighthearted way of living in a bottle to their consumers. As they say on their website. Life is simple.
We played around with these Hello Sweet Life collection wines with a cheese pairing. We paired this wine with a Blue Cheese from Harris Teeter that paired very well with helping to cut through the richness of the blue cheese. All of these sweet wines did well with the blue cheeses. Overall not as sweet as the moscato but still just as quaffable.
