2015 Hazelfern Pinot Noir Yamhill Springs Vineyard

Medium ruby core with garnet edges. Day one pretty tight on the nose, with a touch of bark, white floral notes and toasted cherries. Some more spiciness and darker floral notes on day two. Plumpness on the palate backed with slightly mouthwatering acidiity (6.5/10) and medium bodied. Layered palate with black cherries, a touch of strawberries and some vanilla in the long and lingering finish.
Made up of 100% Pinot Noir from the Yamhill Springs Vineyard at an elevation just of 500 feet above sea level. Aged in 35% new French oak for a total of 15 months.
