2013 Viña Errázuriz Founder's Reserve Don Maximiano

Deep purplish red. Dirtiness on the attack that dissipates quickly. Followed by a dark and juicy nose with sweet spices, cassis, graphite, black cherries, and light cigar box. Maybe even a touch metallic after an hour. Medium tannins (6.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Layers of blue fruit to start then black cherries, earthiness, licorice, and gravel. A touch dry. Long and gritty finish.
Made of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec, 6% Carmenere and 5% Petit Verdot. Aged for a total 22 months in 65% new French oak.
