Deep ruby red. Green and herbal on the nose to start but blew off leading to a touch of heat, anise, cinnamon and dark berries. Medium plus tannins (6.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Layers of black fruit on the palate with some more cassis and a touch of gravel. Solid structure and medium plus to long finish.


Made up of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 3% Malbec and 2% Cabernet Franc. All from Estate vineyards; 42% from Suscol in Southern Napa, 36% from the Home Ranch in St. Helena, 13% from the Yountville Vineyard in the Oak Knoll District, 5% from Banco Dorada in Rutherford and 4% from the Stags Leap District. Aged for 18 months in 45% new French oak barrels.
