2012 Mount Eden Vineyards Domaine Eden Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep garnet to ruby red. Delicious savory and meaty notes on the nose. As it opens up there is some more dark red fruits. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) and medium plus to full bodied. Layers of dark cocoa, a little mint, some light blueberries, and a bit savory too with herbs. Good balanced acidity and long finish.
This is made with fruit from the Mount Eden, Domaine Eden, and three other vineyards. Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec. Aged for 24 months in 50% French oak (10% is new) and 50% American oak (10% is new). Only 2,624 cases produced.
