2012 Black Cordon Vineyards Chardonnay Reserve
Region: Russian River Valley, Sonoma County, California, United States of America
Medium yellow. Very complex and layered nose with notes of light caramel, butter, toast, and golden apples. Tons of oak influence. Opened up with some star fruit and something almost like pineapple. Day two only intensified the oaky influence especially on the nose. Super rich palate, notes of cream, tree fruits like apples, and toast. Bright acidity (6.5/10) and a little sweet. Day two added some white fruits in the finish. Full bodied and long finish. Stunning Chardonnay made by Paul Hobbs and Julian Gonalez, delicious.

Light, crisp and refreshing with layers of honeysuckle and creamy mouthfeel. Balanced acidity. Would be nice to try again it.
