2014 Lauren Ashton Cellars Roussanne

Great opportunity to try some wines from Lauren Ashton Cellars prior to release. First up is the Roussanne which comes from the Dineen Family Vineyard in the Columbia Valley. Clear and bright pale yellow. A little tight to start off with on the nose, some light hints of something cheesy and smokey. Opened up in the glass with some pears, citrus and white floral aromas. Savory start on the palate with lots of wet stones in the finish. After a few hours it became even smoother with some citrus and stone fruits. Moderate acidity (6/10) and full bodied. Beautifully complex bottling with a long and lingering finish. Great Roussanne, terrific value and definitely recommended. Only 115 cases produced.
