2014 En Numeros Vermells Priorat Classic

Sixth wine at Oakton this afternoon and third red. Purplish ruby red similar to the Black Label. A little stinky to start and dark and brooding fruits. Slightly creamier than the Black Label with blackberries. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Slow attack that is followed up with a pinch of dark fruits and a long, lingering and dry finish. This will only improve with time, maybe longer than 15 years.
Blend of Garnatxa Negra, Syrah, and Carinyena. Flagship wine from En Numeros Vermells, which was first made in 2008. Only 827 bottles produced.
