Tasting Note:July 15,2016

Ruby red with some garnet edges. Started off with a classic 2011 nose, not overwhelming but some light greenery and slightly savory notes. About 30 to 45 minutes in it opened up with a hint of blueberries and other darker fruits. Same with the palate. Started off with some light greenery and vegetal notes then moved to red fruits and cherries and finished with some dark berries. Moderate tannins (6.5/10), full bodied and great acidity to match. Long and lingering finish. Definitely seems like a lot of other 2011 wines, or at least ones made properly and built to age.

If the details are the same as the 2011 this is 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Merlot all from the Pritchard Hill portion of the Stagecoach Vineyard located on the Eastside of Napa Valley. Aged for 22 months in 60% new French oak.
