First red from Black Ankle. Garnet red with a dark core. Slightly stinky attack on the nose followed by some dark cocoa and nutmeg. Undertones of dark fruits. Moderate tannins (5.5/10) with a medium body. Dark cocoa and cherries on the palate with some good acidity and backbone. Long slightly dry finish.

Blend of 51% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Malbec. 1,005 cases produced.
