2013 Gros Ventre Pinot Noir Campbell Ranch Vineyard

Estate: Gros Ventre Cellars
Region: Sonoma Coast, Sonoma County, California, United States of America
Vineyard: Campbell Ranch Vineyard

Tasting Note:July 18, 2017

Second of the three wines we received from the All Red Wine Club by WINESTYR.

Bright ruby red. Layered and elegant nose with dirty attack that blows over with some air. Notes of white flowers, and strawberries. A bit mute. Day two brought on more floral notes, and cherries. Medium acidity (6/10) and light to medium bodied. Red berries on the palate, both strawberries and cherries. Some light minerality, perfumey with some sweet spices. Medium plus to long finish.

Made of 100% Pinot Noir from the Campbell Ranch, which is a coastal vineyard in the northern part of the Sonoma Coast. Aged for 11 months in 13% new French oak barrels. Only 187 cases produced. More details about this winery coming in our post about WINESTYR.
