2013 Lauren Ashton Cellars Cuvée Arlette
Clear medium to deep ruby red. Layered nose with floral notes, red currants, black cherries, raspberries, a touch candied and almost a sweet spice. Medium tannins and bodied. Strawberries on the palate with some spices and brambles near the finish. A little dry with a medium plus finish. Needs time to fully integrate and balance out.
This bottle is still a baby that needs some time to integrate and balance out. With time I have no doubt that this will be a great Merlot-led blend by Kit, potential around 90 with a few years. This blend is made up of 59% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1.5% Malbec and 1.5% Petit Verdot. Aged for 28 months in French oak barrels. Only 300 cases produced and 14.6% alcohol.
2019 till 2023+.
