Haven't tried a wine from Elizabeth Spencer before but grabbed this Grenache off the menu at Mulebone. Great pairing with shrimp and grits for the extra kick.

Light ruby red. Spicy nose to start with black pepper but has a delicate floral side (roses) as well. Some nice amount of red berries as well, such as strawberries and raspberries. Moderate tannins (5/10) and moderate acidity (7/10). Palate has layers of strawberries and a little peppery kick near the back. Light bodied with a medium finish.

Made of 100% Grenache from Mendocino County. Only 24 barrels or around 600 cases produced.
