Very interesting red blend from The Crane Assembly. Medium purplish red. Tight on the nose with anise, a touch savory and a little of cocoa. Moderate tannins (5.5/10) and medium to medium plus bodied. Fuller attack with a lighter finish. Very dark attack with cocoa, bramble berries and a little jammy. Long and herbal finish.
This Proprietary Red Blend is made up of 95% Zinfandel and 5% Petite Sirah from the Morisoli Vineyard in Rutherford and Milat Vineyard in St. Helena. 1,700 cases produced.
