Deep purplish red with a dark ruby core. Complex nose with layers of herbs, forest floor, oak, cinnamon and tons of young black fruits. Medium plus tannins (7/10) and a full body. Dark spices and cocoa from the get go on the palate followed up by cassis, bark, dark bramble berries and some more baking spices. Semi dry with a long finish.

Last winery on day two in Sonoma was Troika Wines with Jeff, Noel and Ari. Next up is our favorite bottling at Troika, their Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon.

Super dark purplish ruby red. High intensity on the nose that you can smell outside the rim. Love the complexity and layers on this nose. Thick and dark spices like cinnamon sticks, dark cocoa, and vanilla. Followed by dried black berries, a little bit of eucalyptus and a bit savory in the finish. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) and quite lush. Thick and rich with tons of dark cocoa, juicy mountain blackberries, and a touch of dark gravel. A little savory too with a touch of mint. Medium plus bodied that started to beef up a bit on day two. Great texture, delicious mouthfeel and long finish.

Aged in new French oak. Only 400 cases produced.
