2016 paper planes Pinot Noir Rosé

Estate: paper planes wine

Region: Russian River Valley, Sonoma County, North Coast, California, United States of America

Tasting Note:December 10, 2017

Medium copper pink. Love the nose with layers of watermelon, stone fruits, and wet stones. Perfectly balanced with solid acidity (7/10) and light plus to medium bodied. Fresh and crisp on the palate with some tart fruit notes, watermelon, citrus and a little stoney. Fruit wise and rocky. Long and lingering finish. Absolutely stunning rosé, would love to try some future vintages.

This bottle was gifted to us by our friend David L on Delectable. We have heard quite a bit about the Rosés made by Laura and Kyle Gabriel of paper planes wine. This is the only bottling they make and in their third vintage this is made up of 100% Pinot Noir from various vineyards in the Russian River Valley. Fermented in neutral French oak and only 311 cases made. This is a stunning bottle of Rosé and probably the best and hardest to find for us in 2017.
