2014 Serrano Liquid Luck

Estate: Serrano Wine

Region: Paso Robles, Central Coast, California, United States of America

Tasting Note:June 9, 2016

Inaugural vintage of this white Rhone blend called Liquid Luck from Serrano Wine. Clear pale yellow with moderate intensity. Complex nose that attacks with notes of tropical fruits, lychee, honeysuckle, guava, juicy fruit gum and a hint of wet grass. Definitely sweeter than expected. A little singular to start and tight. Just notes of white and tropical fruits. Moderate acidity (5/10), but seems to be masked by the sweetness. Hopefully with another year or so bottle age this will mellow out.

Very first vintage being produced by Brice Garrett and Sarah Fleming. Brice takes on the wine-making of Serrano Wine while Sarah takes on the business and logistical side of Serrano Wine. This wine was aged in French oak barrels (Demi-Muid and Cigar) for 12 months as well as being aged on Chardonnay lees and this is a blend of Viognier, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne. Only 180 cases produced
