2013 Andis Wines Syrah Indian Creek Vineyard

Estate: Andis Wines
Region: Shenaandoh Valley, Amador County, Sierra Foothills, California, United States of America
Vineyard: Indian Creek Vineyard

Tasting Note:June 13, 2016

First red from Andis Wines. Deep ruby red. Slightly gamey and savory nose from the pnp. Some charred meat, black pepper, and slight baking spices. Moderate tannins (6/10) and slightly savory. Lots of dark spices, herbs and dark fruits too. Moderate plus body and semi-dry relatively long finish. Definitely needs some time to fully develop and for the heat to wear off.

This is the inaugural bottling of Andis Wines' Indian Creek Vineyard Syrah out of Amador County. Only really interesting thing with Andis Wines' website is that they give you a recipe for each bottling. For this one is the a Flank Steak with Warm Moroccan Spices. Seems perfect for this savory and peppery Syrah. 100% Syrah and only 190 cases produced.
